Developed to Streamline Kai Labs COVID-19 Testing, the Program Will be Rolled Out Across Empower’s Subsidiaries to Optimize the Patient Experience
VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / December 14, 2021 / EMPOWER CLINICS INC. (CSE:CBDT)(Frankfurt:8EC)(OTCQB:EPWCF) (“Empower” or the “Company“) an integrated healthcare company – serving patients through medical centers, telemedicine platforms, a medical device company, and a high complexity medical diagnostics laboratory – is pleased to announce that through its partnership with Fobi AI Inc. (FOBI)(FOBIF) (“Fobi“), it has launched a premier SMS integration system to enhance Kai Medical Laboratory’s (“Kai Labs“) existing COVID-19 testing infrastructure. The Company plans to implement the SMS system across its subsidiary network to simplify customer experiences and optimize business operations.
The newly developed system was specifically designed to augment Kai Labs COVID-19 testing efforts at the Gala Games Conference in Las Vegas. It utilized QR codes to provide a paperless registration process. Attendees then provided a cellphone number which was subsequently used to conveniently relay their test results via SMS. The message also included follow-up instructions for the attendee to either receive their conference entrance wristband or proceed to secondary screening. The conveniently integrated program with direct message capabilities immensely streamlined the COVID-19 results process.
Fobi’s rapid development of the system and Kai’s effective deployment at a significant event highlight the positive and mutually beneficial nature of Fobi’s partnership with Empower Clinics. Kai Labs will continue to use this system for future COVID-19 event and business testing contracts. The Company also plans to leverage this system across other subsidiaries such as The Medi-Collective and MediSure to streamline various business aspects, including but not limited to simplifying the patient check-in process, providing appointment and order reminders.
“The Gala Games conference was a phenomenal win that not only benefitted Kai but provided us with the opportunity to maximize existing partnerships,” said Steven McAuley, Chairman and CEO of Empower. “Providing an SMS integration was the logical evolution to our Wallet Pass integration we launched with Fobi earlier this year. I’m confident this new integration will also have a positive impact on the patient experience through other divisions such The Medi-Collective and MediSure.”
Fobi CEO Rob Anson stated, “This was a great project for us to work on and delivered some great wins. Obviously, we helped support Kai Medical in delivering a huge event for Gala games, a pioneer in blockchain gaming, in Vegas, my second home. However, we’ve also developed a Covid Testing Results delivery system that integrates with our Wallet pass solution, and which we can deliver to other venues and events together with Kai Medical for integrated Covid testing and results delivery.”
